If you are looking at this property with a view to staying, DO IT!! You will not be disappointed in any way. From the moment we arrived until the gates to the magnificent drive closed behind us for the last time during our stay, we were continually blown away with how many thoughtful touches there are in this property. For reference we were a family of 14 with children between 6 and 20, 3 dogs and a wide cross section of adults. EVERYONE was blown away with the house and facilities. We spent a lot of time walking in the countryside with the dogs, exploring local pubs and footpaths. The bright lights (and retail) of Braintree is only a short drive away if you crave some more urban leisure time too. Conclusion: A perfect property for a country retreat. So good in fact we have already booked a second stay. If you are hesitating, JUST BOOK IT!
This place was AMAAAAZING. There was nothing that they hadn't thought of, for humans AND dogs ! A welcoming cake for humans & doggy biscuits for the dogs! The house was extremely warm, the fire once lit was stunning and for the bedrooms, well, even the attic bedrooms were set out to the highest clean quality. Having 3 bedrooms outside didn't make a difference as the house was big enough to accommodate people during the day. Having the disabled rooms were an added bonus, there was no one in our party with those needs but they again were built to a very high standard. We were looking to book at Christmas but this place is so fantastic and popular it is completely booked up. So, if you are looking for a really good priced, top of the list place to stay for a family get together then book early . The games room was fab too, well stocked with board games and a smart pool table, air hockey & table tennis. A SUPERB WEEKEND AWAY!
